About Us
The Academy of Digital Dentistry is made up of International lecturers and trainers who have worked in the field of Digital Dentistry for a number of years across a number of worldwide regions. Our Academy of Digital Dentistry evolved on the foundation of knowledge and expertise and forms the bedrock of delivering the necessary tools to bring past, present and the future Dentists and Dental Technicians to the ultimate level in the world of CAI/CAD/CAM. All our lecturers and trainers are involved with systems from the global leader Dentsply Sirona, be it Chairside or Labside CAI/CAD/CAM Systems.
Dentsply Sirona myriad of applications in both CEREC and Labside CAI/CAD/CAM pushes the boundaries of dentistry in a manner which matches the expectations of today’s demanding patients. We do this for today and not for tomorrow which never comes.
OUR TRAINERS
ALIF MOOSAJEE
Professional Info
Dr. Alif Moosajee is the principal dentist at Oakdale Dental, specialist dental practice in Leicester, and is also the author of the book 'The Smiling Dentist' a jargon-free book for patients about clinical dentistry.
Alif Qualified at Birmingham University in 2004.
He has a particular interest in dental implants and CEREC and merging those two interests to fabricate implant guides in-house and provide a fully digital workflow for his implant patients. Alif lectures extensively on this topic. He is also the study club director for the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and for Dentinal Tubules
Alif regularly makes appearances on BBC TV and Radio and on Channel 5 commenting on topical dental issues. After writing his book, he continues to put pen to paper writing regularly for dental magazines 'The Probe' and 'Dentistry' and has had articles published in ‘Implant Dentistry Today’.
Alif won the Fast Track 4 award in 2016 and was Highly Commended Best Young Dentist at the Dentistry Awards 2015. He was also a finalist at the National Dental Awards in 2015 and 2016 in the Best Young Dentist category.
Away from the dentistry he is a devoted father and husband and adores spending time with his wife and daughter.
CARLOS REPULLO
Professional Info
DDS graduate from the ISCS-SUL in Lisbon, Portugal.
He has 16 years of Implant Dentistry experience and currently practices in Sevilla, Spain.
He holds a Diploma in Implant Dentistry and Advanced Certificate in Implant Dentistry by the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England (London UK).
He is also certified CEREC trainer by the International Society of Computerised Dentistry, ISCD, Apollo DI trainer and graduated of the Sirona Speaker Academy.
Member of PEERS Iberica, Dentsply Implants.Currently he is involved in the new CAD/CAM materials research at Leeds Dental Institute, (MSc in clinical Dentistry, LDI, Leeds, UK).
He lectures on an international level about CAD/CAM Dentistry and Implant Dentistry.
EIMEAR KEENAN
Professional Info
Dr O’Connell received her dental degree from University of Edinburgh in 1992. She has run her own private dental practice in Edinburgh for over 20 years.
She has received her MFGDP and FFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons London and her Diploma of Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She is currently the committee member for Scotland on the Association of Dental Implantology board.
In 2014, Dr O’Connell won a UK business award from Software of Excellence as well as winning Best Overall Practice in Scotland. In 2015, her practice won Best Patient Care award.
She has been using Cerec technology since 2008, and believes the increased success of her practice has much to do with the implementation of digital dentistry within the practice.

LINO ADOLF
Professional Info
Lino Adolf was born and raised in South Africa. He grew up and followed his university education in Portugal, where he obtained in 1998 the Bachelor Degree in Dental Technology and later in 2002 the Degree in Dental Technology - fixed prosthodontics. He developed his technical education in fixed prosthodontics until today.
Between 1998-2006 he was teaching at CESPU University, fixed prosthodontics and lab orthodontics. During that time he also worked as a Dental Technician doing crown & bridge and implant work at CDI and Dental Creations.
In 2001 he became Victor Hugo do Carmo's - Oral Design International (Switzerland) - Protégé
He opened his own laboratory in the UK in 2006, where he started working as Self-employed and then changed to Majestic Smile Ltd in 2011.
He has been working with CAD/CAM since 1998, initially with Nobel Biocare Procera and from 2009 with Sirona inLab system. He became a Sirona Certified inLab Trainer in 2011, where he shares his knowledge to current and future users.
ULRICH NIEUWENHUIS
Professional Info
Ulrich qualified in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1993 and in 1994 he achieved his higher diploma winning the award for Ceramist of the Year. He went on to work in a crown and bridge laboratory in Cape Town before moving to the UK.
Ulrich have since been involved in all aspects of dental technology over his career and since 2003 has run his own successful dental Laboratory specialising in aesthetic dentistry, first in Berkshire before relocating to Somerset in 2012.
His passion or the art of dentistry is what drives him to continue to strive for perfection, and throughout his career Ulrich has attended courses delivered by some of the top technicians in the industry. Ulrich keeps himself up to date with the latest developments in aesthetic and digital dentistry by attending regular further training in Lichtenstein, Germany and the UK.
His laboratory became one of the first Sirona InLab laboratories. He has been working with CAD/CAM since 2004 and with the Sirona inLab system since 2008. Recently he also became an InLab trainer for Dentsply Sirona in the UK. His laboratory forms part of an aesthetic dental practice which he owns with his wife who is a cosmetic dentist. In a normal day Ulrich enjoys working closely with dentists, his colleagues and patients for custom shade matching to help achieve better aesthetic results
